Vintage Organization

I have a fondness for household items made in 1967 and earlier.  At various times over the past 15 years, I've collected teapots, Tupperware, Pyrex, aprons, glassware, and table linens.  I'm excited about finally getting to display some of these items, but more important than displaying them I want to try and use them in everyday life.

Here are two of my recent finds at an antique mall and thrift store.

Dresser or bureau tray
Champagne glass - I use it for bracelets and my watch

Pretty! Why 1967 specifically - is there something significant about that year?

I'm not sure why it's 1967. It's sort of arbitrary because my parents were married in 1968 and all of my mother's things have the avocado green, harvest gold, and burnt orange color themes and I prefer the design era that came just before that.

That being said, I do love glassware with gold accents (and those continued past 1967) so it's not a hard and fast rule.

I really like the tray.

I like having one thing that you "collect" with meaning. I am starting to "collect" pottery. I just love pottery and would like to eventually have all my dishes by pottery from various places and times in my life.
