Barbie Revisited

Mr. Quimby and I have decided that Santa is going to bring a Barbie for each of the girls this year.

They are older now than they were 2 years ago when I had so much worry about buying them a Barbie.
Read here and here for a textbook description of first world problems !  Really, I don't have near as much angst this time !

What a difference two years makes.  I still don't want them to eschew all their other toys in favor of Barbie, so we will keep it low key for now.

But oh my Lordy, there are THOUSANDS of Barbies to choose from.  I was getting several things from Amazon, so I searched for "Barbie" to see if it would just be easier to order one rather than going to the store and wow.  There are a LOT of Barbies.  Santa is also bringing them a Barbie house, so at first I was trying to match the Barbies to the "theme" of the Barbie house.  Then I felt myself slipping away to ride on the KRAZY train, so I decided to just close that browser window.

It was entirely too overwhelming, so I'm just going to buy one from Costco.  They have 4 Barbie options to choose from.

I love Costco.  A new Costco is opening in DC, just about a 20 minute drive from our house.  Word on the street is that they are going to sell L.I.Q.U.O.R. !

There are also loads and loads of Barbies to adopt from Value Village. We went that route. E had to buy one with her Christmas money. They are all naked of course, but there are also bags of clothing there too (no shoes).
