Occasionally Ramona and I will run errands, but mostly we just putz around the house. For as much as my girls play well together, they will also play indepentently for long periods of time.
On many days, Ramona and I will be in pretend mode for most of the morning, adapting the story line as needed to meet the circumstances. For when she is the teacher and I am the child and she wants seltzer, she will say to me "Kenna, would you like to try pouring the seltzer water today ?" and in that way she is able to get what she desires without breaking character.
I know that I will miss these days. To quote my friend Laurie (who once said something to this effect): I am nostalgic for things that haven't even gone away yet.
Leisurely snack and tea party, punctuated by checking to see if any leaves were still falling. |

Why aren't we neighbors? My Helen would adore visiting with Ramona across the yard on these days. Not to mention, me.
Me too. THis is so sweet. I spend a couple of hours on wed morning with Andrew, but we typically take a music class. I should extend my time with him to more than just covering the class. But for the next few weeks, while class is not in session, we'll have fun.
Aw, look at that sweet face. That picture makes her look like she can see the future too. Lovely.
