I was back in the classroom tonight. It felt wonderful.
When I worked with traditional college students, I often felt so hopeful for them - for what was to come. The difference with adult ESL/ESOL students is that I still feel the hope for them, but I am also in awe of what many of them have overcome.
It was fantastic to see their faces light up when I talked about all the educational opportunities still to come for them.
