| The conventional sidecar, seen here at the Cafe Pierre in Manhattan, gets a tweak. (David Corio for The New York Times) |
I can't fully explain it. Aliens took away my brain. I had a sufficient quantity of posts written to give myself the weekend off (or to work ahead on other posts) and I rebelled against myself and didn't post them.
Also, a random musing . . . I LOVE to drink a cocktail called a sidecar. It's a classic, old-fashioned drink and so, so good. In fact, it's such a good drink that it has appeared in the New York Times not once, but twice !!! Cocktail Recipe" Bourbon Sidecar for Two and Tweaking a Classic. We went out to dinner Sunday evening at a restaurant we've been to before, and I ordered one. I had previously had a sidecar at this restaurant and it was good, so I was excited. Alas, I was sorely disappointed - I guess a different bartender was on duty.
So, even though it's not in the exact spirit of NaBloPoMo, I'm going to go back and post those other posts now.
