She's officially 4

Although Esther's birthday was several weeks ago, she just had her 4 year old check up a couple days ago.

She's 33 pounds (45th-ish percentile) and 42 1/2 inches tall (92nd-ish percentile). But the coolest thing was looking at her growth chart and seeing that her height has jumped up two lines since her last appointment. Perhaps we can dream big and she might actually grow to be 5'4" as an adult. (What I wouldn't give for an extra 4 inches!!!)

She answered all of Dr. Towns' questions, although she did so quietly. She also passed the eye exam, which was a big relief given David's mild vision issues and my near blindness without my glasses or contacts. At least for now we know she can see.

Thank god I can learn from others and did not take Ruthie with me. But Esther still crawled under a chair when it was time for the shots (4 in all) and curled herself up into the tightest little ball imaginable. She screamed and she sobbed, but somehow managed to recover as we were driving by the doughnut store (aka 7-11) to ask for a doughnut.
