I am a fool...

a SCRAPBOOKING and CLEANING fool that is!!!

My new and fabulous cleaning person came on Friday. Other than the fact that I babbled to her for 30 minutes when she arrived AND when she left and I MAY have asked her if she wanted to be my new best friend, it was a great visit. David and I spent a total of THREE HOURS picking up on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. By 11pm on Thursday night, my house had already never looked cleaner. And by the time she left, well, let's just say that there are no words but I am still walking around with a big grin.

On Saturday I went to a scrapbooking session from 11am-5pm. Just a bunch of women, hanging out and scrapbooking. It was really fun. I invited an old scrapbooking friend from my pre-kids days and she told me about another all day scrap that she knows of on March 28 out near Annapolis. Totally going to that. It's so funny, sometimes people have said to me, "I don't know how you have time to scrapbook! I just don't have time!" I don't know if they are envious of my superior time management skills or passive-aggressively implying that I spend my time frivolously. I am documenting my family's memories and David and I think that's pretty damn important.

Next Saturday David and I are having date night and we are going to his office and working on Esther's baby scrapbook. He's really excited. In my imagination, at least because I'm not sure I've told him that those are the plans for date night. But honestly, after we pay for a babysitter we can't afford to spend any more money!!!

In the true fool department... you know the co-op sale that I love. It's coming up on April 4th. I totally won't be surprised if I get kicked out because I have not been doing the things I'm supposed to be doing for my new "position" - Publicity Chair #2, thank you very much! Must get on that.

Coming up...a post on trusting your mothering instincts...

Hooray for fabulous cleaning person! Seriously - it's better than therapy! (And cheaper. Too bad she doesn't take insurance.)

A wise person once said "If you enjoy it it's not a waste of time", or was that you? And can I have that cleaning ladies phone number? We're going to cut back date night to every second week (yes, it gets expensive!) and have a cleaning person every other week instead.

I am glad for you!
the strange thing about having someone cleaning your house is that it lasts longer because you pay more attention and try to keep it clean for a long time, at least it works at our place
